Welder/Fabricator - Specialty Manufacturing

The Musco Direct Manufacturing Team is currently seeking a Welder/Fabricator to work from our Oskaloosa office. This position will focus on providing structural welds on specialty product builds specified by parts drawings or other approved drawings or blueprints. What you will do as a Welder/Fabricator:

  • Weld special & custom built product by following approved drawings or blueprints
  • Operate MIG and TIG welder, manual CNC plasma cutter, grinder, belt sander, cutting, punching equipment, and miscellaneous hand tools
  • Directly support R & D projects by creating prototypes with limited direction and maintain consistent communication
  • Collaborate with Application Engineering and Project Managers on project needs and support, including project timing, materials and fabrication design
  • Internally machine & fabricate custom parts for each project
  • Weld appropriate parts of electrical enclosure per established drawings or blueprints
  • Ensure proper quality standards are upheld and evaluate and troubleshoot any issues
  • Other duties as assigned

What you need to be successful:

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Possess ANSI/AWS D1.1 and D1.2 Certified Steel and Aluminum welding certifications or ability to obtain is required
  • Capable of reading a tape measure, angle finder/center locator
  • In-depth understanding of blueprints and welding symbols
  • Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm, Overtime as required
