Product Compliance Manager

Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant technical field.
- Ten years of experience with product compliance issues and processes.
- Ten years of experience working with regulatory and certification agencies.
- Experience with electronic products strongly preferred.
- Management experience strongly preferred.
- Self-directed and self-motivated.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong ability to develop process and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment and with all levels in an organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Establish department processes for securing and maintaining all necessary compliance certifications and approvals.
- Work closely with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to integrate compliance requirements into product design and development..
- Ensure regulatory certifications (e.g., UL, NOM, etc.) are obtained and maintained. Includes support for Musco manufacturing certifications.
- Maintain comprehensive compliance documentation including test reports, declarations of conformity, and certification records.
- Partner with leadership to define department goals, set priorities, and align compliance strategy with overall business objectives.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations to develop a high-performing compliance team.
- Oversee department budget planning and ensure resources are allocated effectively.
- Stay current with evolving global regulations, standards, and industry trends; communicate changes and proactively adjust compliance strategies.
- Other duties as assigned.
