Emerging Technologies Intern - Summer 2026

The Musco Emerging Technologies Department has openings for Summer Interns (2026) at our Des Moines office. If you meet the criteria outlined below, we look forward to hearing from you!

Majors of interest:

• Computer Engineering
• Computer Science
• Cyber Security Engineering
• Software Engineering
• Data Science
• Mechanical Engineering (with programming experience)
• Mathematics (with programming experience)
• Physics (with programming experience)
• Any Similar Major with programming experience

A perfect candidate will have

• 1 good object oriented language (Java, C#, C )
• 1 good scripting language (Python, JavaScript, Bach, Perl, Ruby)

Bonus Skillsets:

• Computer vision (OpenCV)
• Object Detection (Yolo, RetinaNet, SSD, RCNN)
• AWS Experience ((AWS services like DynamoDB, Lambda, ApiGateway, S3, etc.)
• Artificial Intelligence
• Pytorch/Tensorflow
• Neural Nets
• Hadoop
• Database Usage (Relational or non - eg: Oracle SQL/MySQL or DynamoDB/MongoDB)
• Experience with Sensors (Camera, Mics, Radar, Lidar)
• Front End Interface Development
• Backend Development
• Network Topology
• Processor Optimization in Linux
• Revision Control (Git)
