The Musco Operational Sales Team is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to work from our Corporate Headquarters, located in Oskaloosa, Iowa. In this role, you will be focused on leading a Team of Sales Representatives to achieve yearly sales goals, while achieving your own sales goals. What you will do as a Regional Sales Manager
- Research each market within the region and identify/execute strategies for building/sustaining/growing the business
- Achieve company objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analyzing sales performance data, and projecting future performance
- Work in a team environment to analyze projects with reps from a sales, business, and engineering perspective
- Represent Musco, with a comprehensive understanding of Musco’s products and services
- Oversee negotiations on sales price with reps and agreements including credit terms and collection
- Seek out, review, and analyze all regional sponsorship and partnerships with key associations
- Participate in hiring, training, motivating, and advising a sales team of field sales representatives
- Conduct field rides throughout the year with each field sales representative and yearly scorecard reviews
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education courses, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
- Oversee that pertinent regional project information and documentation in the sales database is maintained accurately and up to date
- Manage new product releases into the marketplace
- Communicate regularly with leadership to monitor needs/concerns within the territory and for the allocation of resources
- Participate in corporate meetings/conference calls as necessary
What you need to be successful
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Entrepreneurship, Sales or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5-10 years of field sales experience, previous management, and/or leadership experience preferred
- Passion for coaching, and mentoring to achieve success, and holding yourself and your Team accountable
- Aptitude to strategically create and execute a sales plan
- Experience leveraging data, analytics, and research to drive business decisions
- Skill in developing and defining sales plans and metrics
- Strategic mindset as new products and services are released to the marketplace
- Strong presentation skills and desire to lead change
- Dedication to providing top-notch customer service
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Discipline in the project and customer details
