Iowa Sports Turf is hiring Field Maintenance Interns responsible for preparing athletic field surfaces for scheduled use resulting in increased player safety, improved playability, and enhanced aesthetic appearance of facilities.

Interns will complete a variety of tasks outside to get fields game ready. This position will primarily report on Saturdays and Sundays. Shifts will start at either 6am or 7am, and typically end between 4pm and 5pm.

Interns should have reliable transportation, the ability to work long hours outside, and be available most weekends. Those who meet the qualifications below and who are considering a Turf Management Degree or athletics adjacent career are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include the following:

• Chalk baseball and softball fields
• Drag baseball and softball fields
• Rake parts of baseball and softball fields that are unable to be dragged
• Participate in field drying process
• Operate equipment necessary for field maintenance

Pay:

• $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10-12 hour shifts (Required), 20-25 hours per week.
• Primarily Weekends (Required)
