Controls Application Engineer

Controls Application Engineer

The Musco Application Engineering Team has an opening for a Controls Application Engineer at our Oskaloosa, IA office. If your experience aligns with the qualifications outlined below, we look forward to hearing from you!

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical degree preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong motivational aptitude
  • Knowledge of use with Inventor
  • Familiarity with Musco solutions is a plus.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Complete custom control system solutions for customer projects
  • Produce project specific drawings and documents for use by sales, production, customers and contractors
  • Review and evaluate project specifications
  • Create production documents using engineering system, vantage and control link.
  • Create standard special builds for product not supported by product development but is sold frequently.
  • Communicate with specifiers, contractors, and end users to thoroughly assess the project requirements
  • Provide technical expertise on the application of controls and electrical matters
  • Conduct field measurements and adjustments on installed projects and troubleshoot any discrepancies
  • Provide Basic electrical training to new sales and engineering team members as well as advanced controls training for engineers.
  • Other duties as assigned
