Primary Purpose

Embrace change associated with continuous improvement. Inspect and analyze quality of parts received and manufactured to determine their acceptance per defined specifications. Resolve non-conformances with vendors and internal manufacturing departments.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform root cause analysis on nonconforming parts and customer returns and make disposition decisions.
2. Perform detailed layout inspections and document results.
3. Collect and analyze quality data.
4. Analyze product quality.
5. Resolve quality concerns/problems with in-house personnel and vendors.
6. Execute planned improvement activity.
7. Prepare and implement inspection plans.
8. Conduct process and component audits.
9. Perform gage Repeatability and Reproducibility.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements

1. Two-year technical degree is preferred
2. Minimum two years quality experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Job Specifications:

1. Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others required
2. Ability to read and interpret blueprints/component drawings
3. Ability to operate measuring and inspection equipment such as CMM, granite, surface plate, height gage, micrometers, calipers, and a variety of other gages.
4. Ability to work with mathematical concepts including solid geometry and trigonometry
5. Excellent analytical skills
6. Working knowledge of GD&T and SPC
7. Must be computer literate, specifically in Word and Excel
8. Strong technical aptitude
9. Attention to accuracy and detail
